The program aims to educate scientists with a strong background in philology, the study of the Greek language and literature, and the analysis of literary and cultural texts. It supports the understanding of ancient and modern Greek philology, linguistics, and literary theory, as well as the development of interpretive and critical thinking. The program is four-year in duration and prepares graduates with foundational and specialized knowledge in linguistic analysis, philological research, and the teaching of language and literature. The program includes three distinct specializations: a) Classical Studies, b) Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, and c) Linguistics, allowing students to specialize in specific disciplinary fields from the fifth semester of studies onward.
