Level 6

The undergraduate programme in Physics is structured in eight semesters and includes courses covering fundamental and applied areas of physics. The programme includes core courses providing the essential background in physical sciences as well as a wide range of elective courses allowing students to specialize in specific scientific fields. Students receive both theoretical and experimental training through laboratory courses and research-related activities. The programme aims to develop analytical thinking and scientific understanding of natural phenomena. In addition, the Department of Physics has established, to date, three indicative research tracks with corresponding recommended elective courses:
- The Solid State – Electronics – Nanotechnology
- The Nonlinear Dynamics and Complexity
- The Physics and Energy Applications direction
Successful completion of the programme leads to the award of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics.
