Description
The Bachelor's Degree in Port Management and Shipping is awarded by the Department of Port Management and Shipping of the School of Economics and Political Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The programme provides interdisciplinary education in shipping management, port management and administration, maritime transport, logistics, blue economy and marine environmental protection. Students acquire theoretical knowledge, analytical and managerial skills, as well as competencies in applying modern management methods and decision-making practices in an international business environment, preparing them for careers in the maritime and port sectors.
Relation to Employment
The programme prepares graduates for employment in shipping companies, port authorities, logistics and supply chain organisations, transport enterprises, public and private organisations, while also providing a strong foundation for postgraduate studies.
Access Requirements / Progression Opportunities
Admission requires successful completion of secondary education and participation in the national admission procedures defined by the Ministry of Education. Admission through qualifying examinations is also available according to current legislation. Graduates may continue their studies in postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
